The Midwest Book Review. Established in 1976 is an organization committed to promoting literacy, library usage, and small press publishing. The MBR publishes monthly book review magazines specifically designed for community and academic librarians, booksellers, and the general reading public. I am grateful and honored to share that MBR has added Spitting Image to its Biography Shelf of this month's Small Press Bookwatch.
A combination memoir and social commentary, "Spitting Image: A Foundling's Memoir of Faith and Gratitude" is an inherently fascinating and deeply personal account of one man's journey to discovering and coming to terms with his genetic heritage as well as his experienced and supportive family life as an adopted son. A truly memorable account, "Spitting Image: A Foundling's Memoir of Faith and Gratitude" is an especially and unreservedly recommended addition to community library Contemporary Biography collections. It should be noted for the personal reading lists of those with an interest in adoption, trans-racial parenting, and the social implications of genetic genealogy that "Spitting Image: A Foundling's Memoir of Faith and Gratitude" is also available in a paperback edition (9781735880501, $16.95), and in a digital book format (Kindle, $7.99).
